15 Foreign Nationals Arrested in Bangkok Crypto Scam Operation Raid
Thai police have dismantled a cryptocurrency investment fraud ring operating out of a Bangkok warehouse, arresting 15 Eastern European nationals. The suspects—nine Azerbaijani, five Georgian, and one Ukrainian—allegedly lured global victims through a fraudulent trading website.
Authorities seized computers, mobile devices, and scam scripts during the late-night raid in Bung Kum district. The windowless operation highlights Thailand's growing challenge in combating transnational cybercrime networks exploiting its infrastructure.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Lt Col Siam Boonsom confirmed the arrests followed community reports of suspicious activity NEAR Soi Nuanchan. Several suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended at the scene.
